Recycling Rush was the 2015 First Competition with the goal of creating a robot capable of picking up a cylindrical recyclying trash bin and totes. Teams could score points by making towering stacks of totes with a bin on top and also by throwing pool noodles on the other teams' field. One major part of the competition is a fifteen second period in which the robot must run autonomously and drive into a certain zone to earn points. Another unique aspect came in the form of coopertition which was an aspect of the game where teams of both sides of the field would work together to stack totes cooperatively for bonus points.
